KTN-iX challenge with Airbus: Alternative Adhesives for Automated Insert Fixtures on Spacecraft.

KTN-iX is a cross-sector program supporting innovation transfer by matching industry challenges to innovative organisations from a wide range of sectors. It does this through putting large businesses with technical needs in contact with organisations who have innovative technology, for faster development of novel solutions.

KTN-iX is a cross-sector program supporting innovation transfer by matching industry challenges to innovative organisations from a wide range of sectors. It does this through putting large businesses with technical needs in contact with organisations who have innovative technology, for faster development of novel solutions. Innovators get the opportunity to work with large corporates on a commercial basis via a simple submission of their ideas. The challenge owner selects the ideas that best fit the challenge and then looks at how they might collaborate on a commercial basis.

Summary: The Innovation Exchange programme is working alongside Airbus to help them identify innovators with solutions to replace existing adhesives used to install and maintain the fixing of inserts on satellites with a potting adhesive that lends itself to an automated process (please note the automation process is excluded from this challenge).

Successful applicants will be given an opportunity to pitch to a panel of experts from Airbus. Please not the deadline for submissions is this Friday 11th Feb, but remember that this is a simple application requiring only 300 words for idea/​solution, IP and Technology readiness plus optional attachments.
