Following on the success of previous Industry-Chemistry Engagement Meeting (InChEM), we seek to bring both new and established collaborators to Chemistry at Liverpool. This will enable you to meet with academics across the Department and see first-hand the research being conducted within our laboratories. The aim of this meeting is to develop new relations, identify collaborative opportunities and showcase our capabilities.

Chemistry at Liverpool has a long history of innovation and impact; our current activities are grouped under a series of research clusters and within numerous bespoke facilities resulting from considerable recent investment and support. The quality of research in Chemistry at Liverpool has been recognised in the Research Excellence Framework (REF) 2021 exercise with a ranking of 7th in the UK. Additionally, we were ranked in the top 3 in the country for the translation of research into real-world impact. We continue to build on this success through a strategic process of recruitment and institutional planning.

At InChEM, we will share some of our recent advances from our world-leading and pioneering research. Academic talks will cover the breadth of research activities that are on-going within the department. We will also outline potential access to funds at UoL to enable direct collaboration with presentations to describe the pathways for seed funding that may facilitate direct research connections.

The event runs from 8th September to 9th September 2022 with an evening reception to be held at the Materials Innovation Factory. This unique facility is accelerating materials discovery through collocation of industry and academia, and the use of robotics and high-performing computing and is only one of three research facilities that you will have the opportunity to visit.

Complimentary City Centre accommodation and breakfast is available for the 8th September and if you require this please indicate during registration. Find more about the agenda and register here
