Microflow Capillary NMR Probe

The application of microflow NMR probes combines high sensitivity with ease of operation. Indeed, capillary-scale operation saves much in terms of both time and cost, whilst sensitivity is markedly enhanced. The major advantages of this facility include:

• The acquisition of NMR spectra on as little as 1 µg or 1µl of material –applications in the analysis of human and animal biofluids with only limited volumes available or collectable for analysis (say, < 10 µl from small animals such as mice)
• No requirements to dilute samples in order to achieve a minimum volume
• An aquisition rate which is approximately 100 x faster than conventional (5-mm) probes: one-dimensional biofluid spectra are attainable in 1 minute, and two-dimensional proton-proton total correlation (TOCSY) spectral profiles are achievable in 1 hour.
