Elias Siores BSc, MSc, Dip.Ed, MBA, PhD, CEng is Centre Director for the Institute of Materials Research (IMRI) at the University of Bolton.

His main R&D interests are in the fields of smart multifunctional materials and in both passive and active electromagnetic irradiation phenomena. Specific areas include self-power generators and energy conversion systems and metamorphic materials - electroheological and magnetorheological fluids.

Elias’ established international career has included the Universities of Wollongong, Queensland and Swinburne in Australia, and also STI (Hong Kong) SFI Group (China) and BMW (Germany). He holds an honourary Professorship at Tsinghua University in China, sits on executive and advisory boards across the world and has won a number of international awards.

Elias has over 280 publications to his name, including 106 journal articles, nine patents and 15 keynote addresses.
